God Dealt With Many Issues of the Heart in the Ireland SOC

We began a three-week School of Christ in Limerick, Ireland, with eighteen full-time students from eight different nations including England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Taiwan, America, Canada, and Nigeria. There were ten local students that were able to attend part-time.

At the end of the third day, one of the students wrote the following: “We have just started Series Four on the “Almighty Blood.” I feel like I’ve been here for a month already, we have covered so much ground. There is such a sweet fellowship between the saints here, it’s like family. Praying, loving, and serving one another, eating and fellowshiping together, having all things in common with one mind and purpose to see God’s Son made alive in a dark world.”

From the beginning of the School, God dealt with many issues in the lives and hearts of students. As the Lord began to speak to hearts there were times of conviction and weeping, but there were also times of great joy and thanksgiving.

We began with early prayer, followed by nine lessons throughout the day, breaks, fellowship, and times of prayer as we earnestly sought the Lord. I believe that the Lord brought this group of students together for this specific time.

On the Friday of the second week, at the end of the first message on the Holy Spirit series, things suddenly changed in the classroom. Tiredness and weariness were lost in a conscious awareness of the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit. It was like the Spirit of God took complete control. People were baptized in the Holy Ghost, others were refilled, and others challenged to seek the baptism. By the end of the day we were left knowing we had been in the presence of God.

The School was held in a building on the main street of the city. Due to the heat, the door was left open for most of the time. During tea breaks the students stood on the steps of the building. As a result there were many remarkable opportunities for the students to witness to sinners passing by. As we prayed one afternoon, a young man was drawn in by the noise of prayer. He just stood staring in amazement. He said this was beautiful, and then spent an hour after the prayer meeting listening to the Gospel. Several sinners sat in on lessons, and after the Spirit fell, local unsaved family members were drawn to the early prayer meeting and began seeking salvation.

Prior to coming to the School, many of those in the class had been living in intensive spiritual warfare. The School of Christ was vital in making them to stand strong and return home with new faith to fight a good fight. The message of the “A New Cruse” and the “Vessel of Recovery” challenged the entire class.

There is always a grave seriousness at the end of a School knowing that every truth that was heard and received will be tested upon returning home. Pray for the work and workers in Ireland as we reap the end-time harvest for God.

Testimony: “In these three weeks at the School, the Lord has helped me to realize that I am nothing and He is everything, that I’ve been bought with a price and my life is not my own. God has shown me the things that I need to let go of in my life (Col.3:1-2).” — UK Student

Testimony: “God touched my heart several times to tell me that I needed to change. Three significant works are highlighted as follows: First of all, be a praying Christian. Second, repentance. Third, to be His vessel. I am not the same. I commit myself to walk with God, to put God first and to evangelise His Almighty Love. May the name of Jesus be glorified!” — TAIWAN Student

Testimony: “I am a former seminary student and I have been involved in ministry for the past ten years. When I came to SOC my intent was to increase my Biblical knowledge and to add another credential star in the crown of flesh. God convicted my heart on the issue of discipline of time, and of taking His Word seriously. He exposed the hidden sins of my heart. I confessed and repented and He freed me. God changed my life through the teachings of Bro. Clendennen. I am a new man in Christ.” — USA Student

SOC Continues to Train Pastors & Workers in the Philippines

The School of Christ International is a great blessing from the Lord to us here in the Philippines. It is a ministry where sound doctrine is preached. We are living in a confused world where men do not know what is right or wrong, and preachers are preaching a false gospel. But, the lessons taught in the School of Christ not only exposes the wrong, but also establishes and confirms what is right. SOC separates the true from the false. I thank the Lord that there is a ministry like the School of Christ International that safeguards without any compromise, proclaims without any reservation, and continues to spread without any fear of persecution, the pure Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I thank the Lord for the life of Pastor Clendennen. I only met him once, during the first week of January, 2001, when he came to the Philippines. I will never forget the day when I was introduced to him. He hugged me and said, “Be faithful unto the Lord, my son!” His voice still rings in my ears. I never saw him again after the Conference in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. I was a graduate of the first SOC and working as the Secretary/Treasurer of the first School here in the Philippines. Pastor Clendennen was with Dr. David Tolbert, who introduced us to the School of Christ International, and Attorney Dale Martin, the superintendent of SOC here in the Philippines. A few months after Pastor Clendennen visited us, there were already four schools running simultaneously under the supervision of Brother Dale Martin: One School located in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, the second School located in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, the third School in Angeles City, Pampanga, and the fourth School in Baguio City.

September 11, 2001, when the tragedy happened at the World Trade Center in New York City, Brother Dale and his wife Leslie were ordered by the U.S. Embassy to return to the U.S.A., leaving the ministry of SOC here in the Philippines in my care. I could never forget the last words of Brother Dale when he left. He said to me, “Do not ever change my mind for the Philippines.”

Without anyone on my side, I needed the guidance of the Lord more than ever before. As I fasted and prayed, the promise of the Lord became real to me. He will never leave us, and He will always be with us. For seventeen years the Lord has proven to be always on our side.

Last December 1, 2017, we graduated the 96th class of SOC for the pastors and church leaders in Flora, Apayao, Philippines. It was a class supported by Dr. David Tolbert, and located in the northern-most part of the Philippines. From the first week of classes until graduation, the Holy Spirit worked in every member of the class, by convicting, strengthening, restoring, and preparing them for the specific tasks God has prepared for them to do. I praise the Lord for His leadership, His mighty presence, provision, and visitation during this School.

I continue to thank the Lord for all the people He is using in this great ministry of the School of Christ International. I may not be able to meet them all personally, but one thing is certain, I am meeting them all in the altar of prayer every day.

Another class is scheduled to be conducted in the same venue on January 14, 2018, to February 09, 2018. This will be the 97th class of SOC in the Philippines.

Mission Message

 Robert Turnage – SOC President

In 1990, Pastor Clendennen preached a series of messages that he later printed in book form, entitled “Restoring the Message of Pentecost.” I have recently revisited these messages and book. Here, almost twenty-eight years later, it exploded in my heart and spirit the significance and urgency of the truth of these words; for the condition of the church in our generation, our relationship with God, and our experiences within the so-called church.

I believe our relationship with God, even our preparedness for coming events in the church, and our eternal standing with God, is contained in the words of this message. I believe it is an absolute must for every person, regardless of their current relationship with God, to read the profound revelation of what God says to us through this message.

If you are fortunate enough to have either the messages on CD or the 216 page book, please go back and listen or read again what is said. In the foreword noted preacher and evangelist R. W. Schambach said, “You will understand the urgency of the times in which we live, and you will be Holy Ghost inspired to be a refined vessel, willing to be used by the Master…”

In chapter ten entitled “A Diseased Body,” is profound in relationship to the perils in most of today’s so-called churches. I strongly suggest everyone have this truth in, not only your library, but in your heart and spirit.  I feel that strongly about the importance of these messages, God’s Holy Word; what it will do in your walk with God, what it will bring to the Church, and yes, the world.

Monclova, Mexico Report

The first School of Christ that was held in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, was blessed and anointed by the Lord. The six graduating students were very dedicated to the purpose of learning and growing in Christ. The Holy Spirit would fall over each of them, and it was a blessing to watch the growth of each student as they allowed the Lord to move in their lives, especially in the two hours of daily prayer.

During the class times, we would have people come in and ask for prayer because as they were walking past the building and they felt the need to come in.  One young man was a drug addict and a former friend of one of the students. He came in asking to receive the same thing that his friend (the SOC student) had received. It was truly a blessed day.

We are planning to start the next School in February. Keep this new work in Mexico in your prayers.
