Great Move of God in Angola, Africa SOC

School of Christ class in Angola, Africa.

We praise and give glory to God for all the many doors and opportunities He has given us to carry the School of Christ throughout the world. In September God allowed us to once again teach a SOC in the country of Angola, Africa. The School was held in the church of our dear brother in Christ, Pastor Gil Capuepue. Because of the difficult circumstances there, we are only able to teach the SOC once a year, in one-week sessions.

From the very moment we landed in Africa, we felt that we were at home with the family of God; enjoying wonderful times of fellowship with the church, Pastor Gil, and his wife, Sister Marineth.

We witnessed God, through the Holy Spirit, begin to deal with the hearts and lives of all the brothers and sisters that were in attendance from day one of the School. We were encouraged, refreshed, renewed spiritually, to see such a hunger and thirst for the simplicity of the Gospel of Christ. God is working within the lives of His Church in Angola.

Even in the midst of great difficulties, we witnessed a group of brothers and sisters who have a sincere love and desire to reach their country for Christ. We continue to ask for your prayers for the church in Angola and its workers. Like so many other places throughout the world, the devil is fighting; but we know that the gates of hell will not prevail against the true Church of God.

Glory to God for the great things He has done! Pray for the workers as they follow the call of God for their lives. Thank you for your support.

Mongolian Church Preparing for Revival and Missions Outreach

God continues to impact the country of Mongolia through the School of Christ. In July we held a School to train young adults who are called into the ministry. They ranged in age from 16 to 28, and half of them were committed already to full-time ministry in the churches as pastors, missionaries, small group leaders, or worship leaders. God touched every lesson with His presence and power. We had great times of prayer and worship before the throne of God. There is no doubt that the church in Mongolia is being prepared for a great revival and a powerful missionary outreach.

So often we fall into the trap of limiting what God is able to do. Our faith is so weak that we begin to believe that God’s work depends only on what we can do in our own strength.

During my ministry in Mongolia, I spoke with numerous pastors and missionaries who are impacting closed-door countries right now. One missionary was ministering in China and fits in with the culture, and has learned some of the language, and is able to assist the local church in planting new churches and training disciples.

Another minister was called to Kyrgyzstan, a predominately Muslim country, but welcomes workers from Mongolia. He is a school teacher and he is able to connect with the church in Kyrgyzstan.

One of the young men has made a commitment to North Korea. He has already spent a semester in the university there and is planning on going back. He is able to witness and share Christ. He has access because the door to North Korea is open for Mongolians!

The church which sponsored the SOC training for young adults in Mongolia, reported that two of their church families are living in Northern Afghanistan and ministering in an underground church. Nothing is too hard for God!

Too many times we have questioned how God is going to reach this generation. He showed me on this trip the means: The Holy Spirit calls! The Holy Spirit teaches! The Holy Spirit equips! The Holy Spirit sends! We must do our part. We cannot go into North Korea or Afghanistan to minister for Christ, but this does not mean that God is not calling men and women from different parts of the world to go who can get into these closed countries.

We have a unique opportunity to help these missionaries to be effective. The School of Christ is the most effective missionary training tool ever developed. We must be faithful to give so that this School can be taught to those who are called.

November Mission Message

  Robert Turnage – SOC President

We live in a world of mostly lost souls. Jesus said in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” It is not the Will of God for men to perish, and because of the Work of the Son of God they should not have to perish. This is where the ministry and the call of God upon His people and the fruit of the Life and Work of Jesus Christ are joined.

There was a time in the church when people spoke of and ministers preached about “having a burden.” That is no longer preached or experienced. (God forgive us and please restore this holy experience.) The burden for souls is a spiritual matter. The Bible dictionary defines a burden as “…a burden which must be carried by the individual, i.e. as something personal and hence is not transferable, i.e. it cannot be shifted to someone else.”

I speak to you who are a spiritual people because you understand the meaning of these words. Can I implore you to regain that sanctified place with God where you are totally consumed in prayer, travailing for people who are separated from God.

Solomon said in Proverbs 11:30, “…he that winneth souls is wise.” And the Psalmist David said in Psalm 126:6, “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

Many people do not realize what true joy and glory will be when we see Jesus. Paul tells us exactly what it will be in 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20. There he says, “For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.”

Everyone who works for, supports, or contributes to the ministry of the School of Christ International has one purpose for our work and giving and that is to preach the Gospel in every nation and to every individual.

Thank you for sharing and supporting in this last day ministry to the entire world.
