Korea Report
by Ken Geisendorfer SOC Director
School of Christ in Seoul, Korea
In February 2011 we graduated twenty-eight students in Seoul, Korea. Twenty-one of our students were North Korean exiles and seven were South Koreans. The North Korean government is one of the worst offenders against the church for persecution. During the first lesson, I saw tears running down the face of the man to my right. God was dealing with hearts immediately through the preaching of the Word through the School of Christ lessons. In the hours of prayer, the Holy Spirit was so near and you could hear hearts breaking under the conviction of the Spirit. On the third day, I asked for testimonies of what God was doing.
Now twenty-one of these students were North Korean defectors that had left, escaped North Korea and were not going back. Not less than six stood up and gave this testimony. I was back sliden in heart but God through the School of Christ has brought me back to Christ and now I am ready to go back and preach the gospel to my people, no matter the cost. When I heard the testimonies of those men and women, I knew God was at work. Anybody can strap a bomb on themselves and take 100 people to hell with them, but only the Holy Ghost can move a man to give his life for the gospels sake that others may live.
North Korea has 24,000,000 people and South Korea has 49,000,000 people and God is using the School of Christ to stir the hearts of pastors in both nations. We have an open door in that part of the world. Please pray for the Church in North and South Korea.
In Christ,
Pastor Ken Geisendorfer
