SOC Latin America Report

by Dr. Marion Dodson   SOC Director

God Bless all of you fellow workers in the cause of Jesus Christ.

I ask all of you to continue to pray for all of us, but especially for Pastor Delvis Mercado and my wife Dee, they are both struggling with health problems. We are currently running the School of Christ here on site, and preparing for the School in Cuba. Multiple more Schoolsare running in different countries with stressful environments and in need of our continued earnest prayers. I believe very strongly we are in the time of strong deception, and if possible even the very elect will be deceived, but God states He will avenge (protect) His own elect, who cry unto Him day and night. It is time to pray without ceasing, having more love one for another, and striving in obedience to His commandments. We are grateful to be able to walk on the narrow road with all of you.

SOC Latin America Update

I hope through this report that we can express what God has been doing through the School of Christ in the following countries.

SOC Nicaragua:

Pray for the firm continued ministerial work in our country as we continue reaching out to all those pastors who are in need of this message of the School of Christ. Nicaragua has many social, political and economic problems, but we believe that the answer to all these problems is Jesus Christ, and we thank God for blessing this tool as is the School of Christ through which we have been seeing this recovery vehicle called the Church is restored by this message of Pentecost.

We currently have 130 students in the north and the capital Managua, the manifestations of the fruit as gifts is viewed realistically in the lives of those who open their hearts to this message. Of this number of students mentioned we have two graduations, one this weekend in Tipitapa and next weekend in the capital city.

I also want it to inform you that on November 23rd, we will have a time of fasting and prayer with the students graduating from the north country.

SOC Bolivia:

In the recent School of Christ, great peace with God by the pastors and leaders of five different denominations including Baptists was made, only the glorious power of the Holy Spirit can do that. We saw his glory descend upon the forty students and thirty-eight ministers, along with two main church leaders.

The harvest was great thanks to God. We established a task force for the school in different cities. Pastor Fidel Condarco traveled from the city of Oruro to hold a meeting with me and so we agreed to bring this school to Oruro and Potosi cities, then in the month of March will be blessed with this message of Pentecost. An extended invitation was made to all existing names in the city of Oruro and estimated an enrollment of eighty participating pastors.

Pastor Mario Ticona a principal leader of Christ in Bolivia, is working for the school which also extends to the provinces and rural areas, but also are already working to make the first class of the School of Christ in Bolivia, an area where the climate is warm. Out of town the agreement is that graduate students pay for their food and lodging expenses. We pray that all this takes place in the will of God.

SOC Cuba:

Everything is organized thanks to God for the work of the School of Christ to begin this November 2nd in Cuba, we have an enrollment of fifty students from six different pastoral ministries and denominations, this school will be held at Guantanamo in the city of Baracoa and taught in house from the 2nd to the 13th of November.

Besides this I will have the opportunity to perform a mass graduation of several groups of students which had graduated from the School of Christ, and who will join us in Havana for a Worship service and thus receive their certificates.

SOC Colombia:

Pastor Jaime Tundeno, a beloved pastor who the God of heaven has bless greatly. He reported the following on September 20. We left for Cali starting the first School of Christ in Florida valley in the church which is named before the heavenly throne. Where shepherds graze Jose and Teresa de Villota started with fifteen students who were impacted.

We were there until September 24th the day seeing and experiencing what the Lord Jesus did in those lives of pastors and leaders who attended. This school ends in November.

On September 25 we left the town of Toribio Cauca in a village called Congo where an indigenous pastors Pitacue Hermes named this church JERUSALEM, thus initiating this school with thirty-five students.

The most striking is that pastor Hermes was praying ten years ago that God would take a different teaching, he believed in his heart that there are ministries that teach the true word of God. When the pastor Hermes heard and saw the videos of the schools teaching Christ, he glorified God and testifyed that God had heard and answered his earnest prayer he held for ten years for this school to reach its people.

It really was tremendous to see how God in his manifested touch used these men and began to see the fruits of repentance, they abandoned their religious traditions and practiced sins. We can testify that these brothers' lives were changed. It is a joy to see these brothers confess that they needed this Word alive in their lives and the church. They asked us strongly that we extended his thanks to the family of the founder of the School and everyone who made this School possible, would come to mountains of Cauca.

To conclude, I would like to say that we have started a school in Barranquilla and twenty-five students began faithfully living the School of Christ in the Church House of God where Pastor Isaac Lopez pastors. These are students from different denominations, to God be the glory for all that we are living at this time in Colombia.

SOC Venezuela:

From pastors and specifically Pastor Rafael Torres narty Rivero. God bless you, This week we begin the School of Christ to the shepherds in the church holy mountain located west of Barquisimeto.

This Saturday many pastors gathered for the first day of the School of Christ. We made another day to gather about fifty pastors in which we want have for the graduation. We believe that God will give us the strength not to stop with this message of Pentecost.

God bless all of you,
Dr. Marion Dodson
