SOC Europe Convention

During the Second week of November 2010 we held our annual European SOC Convention in Limerick Ireland with believers and leaders gathering in from several countries in Western Europe for four days of meeting. Amongst them were those who have graduated the school in previous years as well as others who stand with us in seeking to establish the work of SOC in their nations. It is a critical time of fellowship and encouragement around God's Word.
This convention is a place where leaders, preachers and all believers can gather to meet with God, hear from God, and give themselves to God, that Christ may have a sanctified vessel through which He can bring revival to this continent.
We started the convention on the Tuesday night with a message called: The Demon of Discouragement. Bro Peter Bond from England followed up on the Wednesday morning with: Elijah, A Voice to the Nation and Band-Wagons. We were so glad that Bro Darrell Turner and Brother D.L. Tolbert were able join us as our guests speakers. They brought messages entitled: Lost Intimacy, The River of God, Walking with God, ? The Man in the Mirror, A Goat on a Rope and When the Heavens are Silent. We were all greatly blessed and stirred by these messages.
One Pastor in attendance wrote the following to me:
"...it was a time of a fresh quickening of the Holy Spirit in my life. I was greatly blessed... I knew that because of discouragement in the work that some of the heart had been taken out of me and I had lost some of my drive and enthusiasm. I brought my discouragements to the Lord and wept before Him recognising my need for Him to give me a fresh drive and fire again... I realised how easy it is to get so busy in the work of God but neglect God in the work. At the end of [another] meeting I wept again and I knelt by my chair and poured my heart out with such longing for a closer relationship with Christ. I knew that any ministry which was to be real and effective could only come from a close relationship with Him. And in coming into that close relationship there had to be a breaking of the 'self life', the hardness, the pride and all that stands in the way. The following morning I awoke with such a fresh sense of the presence of God, His Spirit filling me to overflowing. I know that God wants to bring me into a greater fullness of His Spirit."
Others also contacted us with such testimonies. We believe it is only under such dealings of God especially with the preachers in these lands that we shall again see a true revived church. Many others were unable to be with us at this convention but the DVD's have been going out encouraging, strengthening, challenging and renewing many others. Praise God.
